Fire Fall, Yosemite Valley 2/19/2025

2025 was my second year road tripping to Yosemite to photograph "Fire Fall". Every year for 3 weeks in February , the setting sun lights up Horsetail falls as it pours down the face of E'Capitan,
if conditions are good then the spray and falling water is side lite with the colors of sunset . in 2024 I walked the nearly 2 miles along the road to the best viewing spots. in 2025 I was smarter and user my E Mt bike for the trip. my first evening there the 19th, I road along the road, passing the hundreds of other people spread amongst the forest on either side of the road. wherever there was a clearing with view of the falls. there were groups of people.
I found a spot I liked with a view of the falls framed by some nearby tree tops.
I set up both tripods and my camp chair, cracked a beer and waited! there was a light misty sprinkle that came by close to sunset and it looked like there may be no sunset light. then right when it looked like a bust the sun peaked under the cloud layer and sent a beam of light that light up the falls but only for a short time. I shot this using my 300mm Nikon Len, stitching 3 shots together to capture the height of the falls.

It is made by stitching several digital images together to form the panorama
This enables them to be made in a variety of different cropped dimensions.
I have several standardized sizes, but they can be made any size for custom orders.
For larger sizes I make them as a 3 panel Triptic.

I use the latest Canon ipf 8400 digital printer that uses 12 archival inks
to print on Photographic canvas.
some croping if involved to make these standard sized Gallery Wrapped, Giclee on canvas images, which require no extra framing as they come ready to hang.
